Olson’s has been a family business, celebrating its 100th birthday in 2016. Owners Clive V. Olson and Matthew J. Piscitelli, are proud to continue offering premium quality plants and high value services. With more than a Century of growing experience, Olson’s is a recognized leader in the wholesale flower production industry throughout New England.

Our History:
It’s the turn of the century, and Victor Olson has just immigrated to the United States from Sweden. He has come with little more than packed bags set for a new life in America. Armed with an agriculture background, Victor started Olson’s Greenhouses in Taunton, 1916. He grew the business over the first quarter of the century, paving the way for his sons, Clive H. and Karl Olson, to operate the family business.
Born in 1932 Clive H. Olson became the sole owner of Olson’s Greenhouses in 1994. A native of Taunton and graduate of Taunton High in 1950, Clive H. Olson has built Olson’s Greenhouses to what it is today, a leading grower in the New England area. Some of his credentials are:
- Board of Trustee Bristol County Agricultural School
- Member of the State Agricultural Board, Councilman for 10 years
- Commissioner of the Taunton Municipal Light Plant for 10 years
- Member Society of American Florists and elected to Growers Council
- Past director Ohio State Florist Association and out of state Vice President
- Past President of the Mass Flower Grower’s Association
- Six children and nine grandchildren!
The business moved to its 30 acre Raynham location in 1969 and now farms more than 95 acres in Raynham. In April of 2006, Olson’s Greenhouses was sold to his son Clive v. Olson and business partner, Matthew J. Piscitelli.
Clive V. Olson has twenty five years experience in the garden center and greenhouse industry. A native of Taunton, C.V. Olson founded and currently owns the highly successful Olson’s Garden Center in Wareham, MA. A native of Brockton, Matthew J. Piscitelli received a Master’s of Business Administration from Northeastern University and is a graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. Most recently, he founded Orion Home Health, a home respiratory company, and sold it to Rotech Healthcare (Nasdaq: ROHI) in 2005.
Olson’s is positioned for expansion and growth. We will continue the tradition of providing premium potted plants to customers throughout New England utilizing increased product lines, efficiency improvements, and our knowledgeable staff of horticulturalists.
